Brand USA is a creative organization dedicated to marketing the United States as a premier travel destination. It has proven successful in boosting the economy and supporting the travel industry and, simply put, we'd hate to see it go.

Any avid traveler can speak to the exceptional, diverse and virtually limitless travel experiences and destinations available right here in the United States,  That's exactly why Brand USA was founded back in 2011- to serve as a marketing agency to increase tourism to the USA for individual travelers and groups.

The law that created the agency is called the Travel Promotion Act, and with strong bipartisan support from day one, Brand USA has worked in close partnership with more than 700 partner organizations to invite the world to explore the United States. In the past four years alone, the organization is responsible for 4.3 million international visitors, benefiting the U.S. economy with more than $29.5 billion. In a nutshell, Brand USA brings in an ROI of $27 for every $1 invested, and many U.S. tourism destinations rely on it for their marketing.

So why the defunding? While Brand USA's operations are supported by a combination of non-Federal contributions from destinations, travel brands and private-sector organizations, the U.S. government matches these funds with the fees paid by international visitors who visit the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (in other words, not by your taxpayer money). President Trump wants to reroute those dollars to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection organization.

As a travel management company, we appreciate how Brand USA works in close partnership with the travel industry to maximize the economic and social benefits of travel. These benefits include fostering understanding between people and cultures and creating jobs essential to the economy. We want to protect the U.S. travel and meeting industries from being negatively impacted by the removal of the marketing arm of the United States to international visitors.
